Lizzie has been described as a scientist - turned - artist. She is a graduate of Oxford University with a background in biochemistry and biology and has also worked in the field of cancer research. Her biological and biomedical paintings have graced the covers of books abd journals and she has held exhibitions of her work in the UK and internationally.

She has also received commissions from Universities, Institutions, Research Councils, companies and individuals. Lizzie is also very interested in engaging children and young people with science and has worked on educational projects using art to convey the excitement of science.
